INJUNE IN JUNE was once again a huge success thoroughly enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.  Held every year in Injune in the Injune Caravan Park on the last weekend of June, Injune In June is a very popular event on the visitors’ calendar with travelers calling months before for information and many people returning year after year.

Puddy Chandler, President of the Injune & District Tourism Assoc. and her band of ever present volunteers put on a “Camp Oven Cookout”.  Commencing at 5.30pm with pumpkin soup, whipped up by Rita Taylor and her band of helpers, this was then followed by a camp oven dinner.  Visitors helped the locals cut up the veggies and put together a scrumptious meal.  Dessert was followed with a helping of damper and “Cockies Joy”.

The night ended with entertainment around the much needed fire.  Golden Guitar winner, Wave Jackson once again showed us why he is a legend along with other talented locals, singing, playing and telling the odd yarn.  Finally a couple of visitors plucked up some courage to join in and tell a few jokes and sing a few songs.

Sunday followed with a social Bowls Day with the trophies being donated by the Injune District Tourism Assoc.

Many thanks to all our wonderful volunteers, locals and visitors who helped to make this once again a very successful weekend.

See you all again next year.
